Is Buri Nazar a thing? (asked on Quora) In my understanding, it's a classic example of superstition / psychological illusion. And the process to avoid/ 'cure’ it, call it nimbu-mirchi /nazar-battu/ Drishti/ Kannu / Dishti is a widespread pseudoscience.
